Those 3DS tech demos are real neat, hope they'll get packaged into apps that every system can use. Would love to check 'em out, reminds me that it kinda does suck that the games on the system were banned from outright requiring 3D. The 3D specific ideas from the demos are real neat and ultimately a novelty on a system whose entire gimmick was it's 3D display entirely because of that policy.

Of course I'll take accessibility over gimmicks but I bet there would have been some real inventive stuff over the console's life we might not have the chance of seeing again. I guess maybe the closest thing to that would be seeing 3D game concepts revived for VR environments but VR is a whole other topic with its own set of growing pains. I don't think we'll really be seeing 3D game concepts akin to traditional video games come from that space, at least not until the hypothetical future where VR is cheap and ubiquitous enough to make smaller traditionally controlled games for that platform..
That kind of reminds me of the hell I put myself through trying to get my Quest 2 to work with Linux some weeks ago lmao, it didn't work at all and I gave up after basically spending my whole day on it and it totally ruined one of my glasses' hinges making it real loose know if I bend them. Anyways that's a whole other rant lol
